Accent Art Glass Presents: About the Artist
Mark Ellinger is a native of Puget Sound, Washington, and started blowing
glass in 1983. He served as the artistic director and production manager of a
well-respected Pacific Northwest glassblowing studio for 15 years. In 1998, he built and
founded Glass Quest in rural Stanwood, Washington. Mr. Ellinger has won numerous awards
for his innovative uses of color and form, which developed from his love of the Art
Nouveau period and the beautiful natural surroundings of the Puget Sound. His pieces
grace both individual and corporate collections around the world.Glass Quest's authentic blown glass creations are of the highest quality, personally crafted and signed by the ever-attentive hands of Mark Ellinger himself.
The freeform beauty of the Puget Sound region is the inspitation of my artwork.
Nature provides an endless palette of color an form that lends itself to the nature of
glass in its molten state. The breeze of a sunny day, the flow of an ebb tide, glass
captures the movement of creation and freezes it so it can be enjoyed and light can play
upon its color and form.
