Accent Art Glass Presents: About the Artist
In late 2006 Mark Eckstrand closed his Mark's Art studio and moved to the country of Lithuania.
But before he left, he authorized and trained the artisans of Glass Eye Studio to carry on his popular
and colorful sea form designs.While my artistic background is in drawing and painting, I was attracted to working with hot glass because of its many artistic and technical challenges. For more than twenty years I have been combining fused imagery with hand blown glass to create undersea creations and sculptures, many of which are incorporated into my "Ersatz" aquarium installations. Virtually all of my artwork reflects my passion for under water imagery and fish.
