Accent Art Glass Presents: About the Artist
DAVID LOTTON GLASS DESIGNS
David Lotton was introduced to the art of glass making at the age of ten when
his father, Charles Lotton, built a glass studio in the backyard of their home.
Laboring by the heat of his father's first furnace, David persisted in the
pursuit of achieving technical excellence coupled with artistic expression. Upon
graduation from high school, the young artist built his own furnace and has
since devoted his work-life to this craft.
Today, working out of his rural Illinois studio with the help of his wife and
three children, David continues his pursuit of excellence by creating unique
glass sculptures, vases, pendants and paperweights.
David Lotton's creations are treasured by art glass collectors throughout the
nation. His work is on display at many fine galleries and museums including the
Corning Museum, the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum, the Newark Museum and the Houston
Museum of Fine Arts.
